FIT & COMFORT
How do Cowboy Killer boots fit?
Our boots run true to size with our comfort insert removed, however, if you have a narrow foot, or want to wear with a light sock or stocking, keeping the insert inside the boot and it will remove any extra room.
If you have a wider foot we recommend going up half a size and removing the insert. We have designed our boots with the optional comfort insert to give you the flexibility of the perfect fit, not matter your size.
Should you have any fit questions or believe you are in-between sizes, please email us, we would love to help!
Do I need to break them in?
We think that phrase sounds a little harsh. Our boots should feel comfortable right off the bat. Over the first five to ten wears the sole softens and the leather insole starts forming around your foot.
What's the insert for?
Every pair comes with a comfort insert, cut by hand and trimmed in leather, so you can personalize the fit to your sock or the width of your foot. Leave it in with a thin sock or nylons, or if your foot runs narrow, since it takes up the extra room without changing the length.
If your foot runs a little wide, go up a half size and or remove the comfort insert for more room across the ball of your foot.
Can I try them on before I order?
Come see us at a pop-up! We'll be at Round Top this October inside The French Cowgirl's booth at Zapp Hall, and every show we're headed to lives on our Pop-Ups & Events page.
ORDERING & CARE
Why are they made to order?
Because every pair is made entirely by hand, they take approximately six to eight months to build, but you'll end up with boots you truly love.
How do I care for my boots?
Cedar boot trees and a good leather conditioner do most of the work, since the trees hold the shape and pull moisture out of the sole after you wear them. Every few months, rub leather conditioner over the boots by hand so it gets into every crease instead of soaking into a cloth, and keep them out of the sun so the leather holds its color.
